Senior Infants were invited into Junior Infants to watch our experiment for Engineers Week.
We took inspiration from Humpty Dumpty and decided to try and stop him from cracking when he falls off the wall. We worked in teams and created coats from various materials such as tissue paper, foam, newspaper and cotton wool. We built a wall and wrapped Humpty in various materials. We then knocked him off his wall. The material that saved Humpty was the foam and cotton wool coat. Unfortunately we learned that tissue paper didn’t save Humpty and he cracked when he feel off the wall.
We really enjoyed being engineers and helping Humpty Dumpty!!
