Today Rang 5 enjoyed a wonderful visit from Brendan and Orla. They were visiting Buaile Beag from the Galway City Museum. Brendan taught Rang 5 about the Galway Mace. The children learned many facts about this historic artefact. They then wrote a label for this piece where they described the Galway Mace in a few sentences.
This was followed by a wonderful drama session with Orla. This again was based on the Galway Mace. The children worked in groups for this and thoroughly enjoyed it. We look forward to a visit to the museum to see the Galway Mace in person!
